What is Treatment Massage? Unlike relaxation massage, treatment massage focuses on injury recovery and chronic- pain relief.
MY TREATMENT APPROACH
My treatment philosophy is based on what I call Open, Strengthen and Release:
OPEN: This stage of the massage helps facilitate length in shortened muscles using specific fascia (connective tissue) and muscle stretching techniques. Additionally, I give clients suggested stretches to do in between their massage sessions.
STRENGTHEN: As a certified Fitness Specialist, I show my clients proper posture and body mechanics, while teaching exercises to strengthen the muscles responsible for good posture.
RELEASE: By applying slow, deep pressure to painful muscles I gently release tight tissue and built-up toxins. I also instruct my clients on how to avoid stretches that would aggravate an injury.
As a patient of treatment massage, you’ll be able to track your progress and learn about how your whole body is connected. With this knowledge comes the power to change how you take care of yourself so you can live pain free, with increased strength and energy.
